Large Antique Chinese Silk Embroidery Panel Tapestry. Fish and Dragon chasing a pearl. Billowing clouds in sunset color and frothing water. Wonderful use of negative space with the plain background allowing the red,orange,yellow drama to be front and center. Estate find. Never displayed after being acquired from a trip to China in 1900. 72”X61”. 2 panels stitched together form the body with the figures created in a Satin stitch. Remarkable condition and quality.
